Semone Perez, MSN, born in Trinidad and Tobago came to the United States in 1986 determined to fulfill her passion to become a nurse and follow in the footsteps of family members who are educated, well respected, professional clinicians in the medical field. In 1993, after receiving her Associate Degree in Nursing from New York Technical College, Semone continued her education and obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from York College. Still determined to quench the thirst of educating the nurse within her, Semone received her Masters Degree in Nursing which led her to obtaining a Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from Malloy College. Currently, working at the Visiting Nurse Service of NY for the past 16 years, Semone loves serving her community by educating her patients and providing holistic care. Semone's greatest inspiration is her mother who is a retired registered nurse who puts God first in everything that she does. As a single mother of a 20 year old son and a 7 year old daughter, Semone wants to set a positive example for her kids to be the best that they can be. Semone says, "Nursing is my passion. I love servicing my community, volunteering my services, educating clients on Diabetes,, Hypertension, Cancer, Pediatrics Maternal-Child Health Care, Education, diet and excerise, medication management, and hospitalization prevention.."
